Day 4 - Venice - Florence (B, D)
Depart this morning for Florence. Founded by Julius Caesar, it is a
small compact city and a living museum of the Italian Renaissance. Guided
tour of this city of Dante, Boccaccio, Botticelli and Da Vinci, which is
also a shopper's paradise. |
Day 5 - Florence (B)
At leisure, you might like to visit the mighty church of Santa Croce;
it has Giotto's frescoes and the monumental tombs of Michelangelo,
Galileo, Machiavelli and other Renaissance luminaries.
Day 6 - Florence - Rome (B, D)
Depart south to Rome and settle in your new hotel; remainder of the
day free.
Day 7 - Rome (B)
Visit the famous sights of the Vatican, an independent state ruled by
the Pope.
